If this is your weapon, you may make a melee attack as a part of casting this spell.

​At Higher Level​. If you cast this spell with a higher-level spell slot, the damage increases to 1d6 at 2nd-level, 1d8 at 3rd-level, 1d10 at 4th-level, 1d12 at 5th-level, 2d6 at 6th-level, 2d8 at 7th-level, 2d10 at 8th-level, and 2d12 at 9th-level.
